MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the results of the poll conducted by the Emnid Research Institute for the Bild am Sonntag, 29 percent of respondents supported the Brexit-style referendum and 63 percent opposed it.
The poll also revealed that the majority of the German population, namely 63 percent, regrets the outcome of the United Kingdom (UK) referendum on the exit from the EU and only 11 percent positively evaluated the outcome of the vote.
In addition, according to the poll results, as many as 70 percent of respondents said that the EU should be reformed.
On Saturday, a petition to hold a referendum on Finland's membership in the EU has been launched by the country's nationalist Finns Party, gathering over 10,000 signatures so far. Also on Saturday, the Slovakian far-right People's Party – Our Slovakia on Saturday launched the petition to Brexit-style referendum, and Marine Le Pen, the leader of France’s National Front (FN) party, said that French President Francois Hollande has rejected the possibility of a Brexit-style referendum to be held in France which her party is calling for.
