VIENNA (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, the Constitutional Court ruled that the country should stage a rerun of the second round of the presidential election following a complaint by the far-right Freedom Party of Austria (FPO) about "irregularities and failures" during the vote counting.
"Next Tuesday, after discussions with Chancellor Kern and Vice-Chancellor [Reinhold Mitterlehner], I will propose such date of [new] election that would allow the citizens to participate in the voting," Sobotka told reporters.
