"In Syria, coalition military forces conducted ten strikes using bomber, attack, and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL [Islamic State] targets," the release stated on Wednesday. "Additionally in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted 17 strikes coordinated with an in support of the Government of Iraq."
The ten airstrikes in Syria hit positions near three cities, including Manbij and Palmyra, destroying three Daesh’s oil wellheads, five tactical units, two vehicles and eight fighting positions.
The US-led coalition of more than 60 nations has been carrying out airstrikes in Syria and Iraq since the summer of 2014.
The Daesh terrorist group, also known as Daesh, is outlawed in the United States, Russia and numerous other countries throughout the world.
