MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia's involvement in Syria unmasked the Untied States' true intentions regarding terrorist groups, Syrian President Bashar Assad said.
"The United States doesn't have the will to defeat the terrorists, it has the will to control them and to use them as a card like they did in Afghanistan," Assad told NBC News.
"Actually, the Russian intervention unmasked the American intentions regarding ISIS [Daesh] and other terrorist groups," he said.
"What I'm sure about is they don't have good intentions toward Syria," Assad underlined.
