On contrast, no new security measures have been implemented in Belgium, neighboring Germany, Belgian crisis center spokesman Benoit Remarker told Sputnik.
"Up for now nothing has changed," Remarker said.
The Czech Foreign Ministry is waiting for the official information on the shooting incidents that took place in the German city of Munich earlier in the day to reassess security measures in place in the Czech Republic, the ministry's press service told Sputnik on Friday.
"We are still waiting for some more information about the victims, whether there were Czech citizens. It is too early to speak about security measures because we still don't know what has actually happened in Munich, was it a terrorist attack or was it just a person," the press service said.
"We are in contact with our general consulate in Munich and according to the information that we have at the moment the German police has not communicated the numbers of injured or victims of the attack," the press service added.
Earlier in the day, media reports emerged claiming that at least 15 were killed in a shooting in the Olympia shopping center in the Moosach borough of Munich. Later reports claimed that consequent shootings were taking place all over the city.
Interior Minister of Germany's Bavaria Joachim Herrmann confirmed that three people were killed.
Austrian Interior Ministry spokesman Karl-Heinz Grundboek told Sputnik earlier in the day that the Austrian authorities were in touch with Germany over the shootings and that extra police patrols were deployed at the border area between the two countries.
