MOSCOW (Sputnik) The Polish parliament adopted a new law on the constitutional tribunal on July 22, which the Commission found to be in violation of its rule of law principle.

"Key issues, such as publication and implementation of judgments and the swearing-in of the judges remain unaddressed… We now invite the Polish authorities to take action to solve these concerns and to inform the commission of steps taken within three months," European Commission First Vice-President Frans Timmermans said, as quoted in the press release.
