STRELNA (Russia) (Sputnik) — Erdogan arrived in St. Petersburg earlier in the day for talks with Putin, after seven months of strained relations following the November incident with Turkey downing a Russian military aircraft.
"May everyone be sure that we will do everything possible, as leaders of the state, to eliminate all obstacles on our path to reach this goal [of returning to pre-crisis trade turnover]," Erdogan said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and representatives of two countries' business.
The Turkish leader added that if the two countries created new spheres for cooperation, it would be possible to return to $100-billion turnover.
