WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is eight points behind his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton with registered voters nationwide, a new poll revealed on Tuesday.
"Hillary Clinton continues to hold a large national lead over Donald Trump, 50 percent to 42 percent, weeks after the Democratic National Convention," a NBC News/Survey Monkey poll found.

The eight-point lead is just one point below the advantage Clinton had over Trump in the same poll last week.
When the Libertarian and Green Party candidates are included in the poll, Clinton still has a five-point lead over Trump.
The US presidential election is scheduled for November 8.
