WASHINGTON, September 13 (Sputnik) — Chaffetz told FBI Acting Assistant Director for Legislative Affairs Jason Herring during a House of Representatives oversight committee hearing on Monday that he will issue a subpoena 'right now'.
“I’ve signed this subpoena. We want all the 302s [interview notes]. And we would like the full file.”
FBI Director James Comey, Harris replied, made principal decisions of what to provide Congress. Harris also said some information was in the hands of other agencies, not just the FBI.
However, Chaffetz claimed that the 302s provided by the FBI have been “heavily redacted.”
“[The FBI] hand-picked the 302s to give to us after your discussion with staff,” Chaffetz added. “You [the FBI] don’t get to decide what I get to see.”
In 2014, Clinton released over 55,000 emails to State Department investigators, stating that the documents contained only work-related information. Yet more than 33,000 emails have been destroyed which does not satisfy established US rules and regulations.
