Kashmir Mosques Shut Down During Eid | US Prison Strikes Enter 5th Day

Indian Authorities have put in place strict curfews during Eid celebrations, restricting access to mosques and cutting all internet access and incarcerated workers across the United States enter their fifth day of strike action protesting against inhumane treatment.

Today’s main stories:  Amid ongoing political tensions, Indian Authorities in the Indian controlled region of Jammu and Kashmir have enforced strict curfews which could mark the first time in history that all major mosques and shrines in Kashmir are closed during Eid-Al-Adha. We speak to freelance journalist from Kashmir, Harris Zargar.

Prison strikes across the United States enter their fifth day, with incarcerated workers protesting against forced labour and slavery.  Recent reports suggest that the strikes have now spread to up to twenty four states. We speak to Azzurra Crispino from the the Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee (IWOC).
