Trump has repeatedly said that he expects to maintain good relations with Russia and President Putin if elected to become the next US president. On September 7, the Republican nominee argued that Putin was a better leader than Obama.
On Saturday, a poll conducted by Russia’s Public Opinion Fund (FOM) revealed that some 80 percent of Russians approve of Putin's job as the country’s president.
A CNN/ORC poll found in August that Obama's approval rating has risen to 54 percent, or its highest point since the time prior to his second inauguration in 2013.
