WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — While 75 percent of voters plan to watch the presidential debate on Monday night, just 12 percent say it’s very likely or somewhat likely that it will change their mind or help them decide who to vote for, the poll summary added.
"Forty-six percent of likely voters support Clinton and 42 percent back Trump," the Monmouth University Polling Institute stated. "In late August, Clinton’s likely voter support was the same at 46 percent while Trump’s support was lower at 39 percent."
The poll summary noted Clinton still holds an advantage over Trump on the question of presidential temperament.
This poll had a margin of error of 3.5 percent.
The US presidential election is scheduled for November 8.
