MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The driver of the freezer truck moving across the M25 motorway found a group of 15 migrants, including one minor, in the back of his vehicle after he had heard a noise inside it, the Sky News broadcaster reported.
The broadcaster added that the migrants had been detained by police on suspicion of illegal entry into the country and had been sent to a local hospital for a medical checkup.
European countries, including the United Kingdom, have been beset by a massive refugee crisis, with hundreds of thousands of undocumented migrants fleeing their crisis-torn countries in the Middle East and North Africa to escape violence and poverty.
Many migrants try to arrive in the United Kingdom through the Channel Tunnel, boarding the tunnel trains or passing trucks en route to southern UK cities.
