MOSCOW (Sputnik) — German Chancellor Angela Merkel has invited the leaders of the Normandy format to convene in Berlin on October 19, Russian Ambassador to France Alexander Orlov said Tuesday.
"We will make a final statement when we are ready. The level of preparedness is not there yet," Peskov told reporters.
French government spokesman Stephane Le Foll said Wednesday Paris planned to establish contacts with Merkel and Russian President Vladimir Putin to hold the summit.
"We, if you know, have always spoken carefully about these plans, stressing that preparations are underway," Peskov said.
