Climate change is a key issue in focus of the BRICS Business Council meetings in Goa, and Brazil has a good experience in green economy to help the group strengthen cooperation in this sphere, Jose Rubens de la Rosa, Brazil's Chair of the BRICS Business Council, told Sputnik.

GOA (Sputnik) — BRICS Business Council meets on the sidelines of the summit of the five-nation BRICS, which will take place in Goa on October 15-16 in order to come up with solutions to boost intra-BRICS economic cooperation.

"Climate change is among the main topics of any meeting of the BRICS Business Council (BBC). We see, as example, that Brazil has a relevant experience on sustainable agriculture and renewable energy. The Brazilian experience and the cooperation in this area have been discussed in the BRICS Business Council," Rubens de la Rosa said.

The BRICS Business Council is a platform which serves to promote business, trade and investment ties between the BRICS member states. It was established in 2013 during the Fifth BRICS Summit in South Africa.
