Trump proposed that the candidates both undergo a drug test at a rally in New Hampshire on Saturday.
"Athletes, they make them take a drug test, right? I think we should take a drug test prior to the debate," he said.
"We should take a drug test, prior, because I don't know what's going on with her, but at the beginning of her last debate, she was all pumped up… and at the end it was like, 'Oh, take me down,' " Trump said, mocking Clinton.
He also noted Hillary could "barely reach her car."
Axelrod served as a Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama during his first term and later became a Senior Strategist for Obama's successful re-election campaign in 2012. He is currently director of the non-partisan Institute of Politics at the University of Chicago and a Senior Political Commentator for CNN.
