Ruling Party Leading in Montenegrin Parliamentary Elections - Exit Polls

The ruling Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro (DPS) is winning parliamentary elections on Sunday, according to the exit polls.

BELGRADE (Sputnik) — The polls published by the Centre for Monitoring and Research (CeMI) revealed that DPS had won 41 percent (38 seats) after one-third of the votes had been counted.

Montenegro Parliament Election Turnout Higher Than in 2012

Opposition Democratic Front (DF) coalition which was established before the previous elections in 2012 has gathered some 22 percent (20 seats), newly-formed Key Coalition has taken 11 percent (10 seats).

National unicameral parliament, the Skupstina, has 81 seats which will be distributed through the elections in a single nationwide constituency between 17 parties.

According to the Center of Democratic Transition (CDT), the turnout at the elections is about 9 percent higher than during previous elections in 2012.
