MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Following Simonyan's statement on Twitter earlier in the day, RT UK said it had been informed by the National Westminster Bank that it "will no longer provide" banking arrangements with the broadcaster.
“Not at the moment [ the company’s work will not be suspended], but it is clear to us that this is not the last step the United Kingdom is prepared to take to limit our broadcasting,” she told RIA Novosti.
RT operates a number of cable and satellite television channels in a number of languages and is directed at a foreign audience. The channels provide 24-hour news coverage, as well as airing documentaries, talk shows and debates.
