MOSCOW (Sputnik) — US President Barack Obama’s half-brother Malik will attend the Third US Presidential Debate as a guest of Donald Trump where he intends to root for the Republican nominee.
“I’m excited to be at the debate. Trump can make America great again,” Malik told the New York Post on Tuesday.
Malik added that the last time he saw his brother was after President Obama’s visit to Kenya in 2015 and it was not a warm reception.
"I went to the White House to say hello. I paid a courtesy call…. As usual, it was a hands-off kind of thing, very businesslike, very formal,” he pointed out.
The third and the final round of presidential debate will be held on October 19 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The US presidential election is scheduled for November 8. Barack Obama endorsed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton to succeed him as president of the United States in June.
