WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — An unexpected Republican victory in the US presidential election on November 8 will have an impact many times that of the referendum vote in the United Kingdom to leave the European Union, Republican nominee Donald Trump said at a rally in Newtown, Pennsylvania.
"If we win, the change you've been waiting for will finally arrive," Trump said on Friday night. "Believe me: This is Brexit times five: You watch what's going to happen."
Trump noted that several polls now put him in the lead nationally over Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.
"We're leading in polls from Rasmussen to the LA Times to the International Business Daily," Trump noted.
However, according to the Real Clear Politics poll tracker on Friday, Clinton maintains a six point lead over Trump in average of the major opinion polls of 45.2 percent to 39.2 percent.
