WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — North Carolina remains a battleground state with only 11 days until US voters go to the polls on November 8.
“Yeah that’s right, Hillary doesn't play,” Obama told Clinton supporters at a rally Thursday in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. “She has more experience and exposure to the presidency than any candidate in our lifetime — yes, more than Barack, more than Bill.”
Michelle Obama went on to tell the crowd at Wake Forest University that Clinton is ready to be the US commander in chief on Day One, and that “yes, she happens to be a woman.”
She also took a jab at Republican candidate Donald Trump for remarks last week at his own North Carolina rally that the first lady is too involved in Clinton’s campaign. Obama, a designate Clinton campaign surrogate, replied by saying her active role is due to the importance of the 2016 White House race.
