Western ways of thinking are often dominated by principles of invisibility, ranging from religion to economics and trade. Namely, the invisible hand that apparently Adam Smith argued for, yet only mentioned once in the entire 1,600-page book. In the wake of radical so-called “free” trade agreements floating in the air, the angle of mainstream on the issue has been somewhat discouraging. People rarely read these days as opposed to even the last century even. Just like Adam Smith's greatest work, the recent Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement or CETA between the EU and Canada has been evidently read only by a few of legislators across the European bloc, because as this week's episode will show – those few were the only ones fighting for the common good.
