Protests in Morocco's northern city of Al-Hoceima have spread throughout the country, including the capital, Rabat; and, millions check in on Facebook at the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota in a show of international solidarity.

Protests have been taking place throughout Morocco, in solidarity with a 31-year-old fishmonger who was crushed to death protesting against authorities who confiscated his wares.  As images of his body circulated on social media, protests sprang up in 20 cities across the country, and thousands attended the victim’s funeral.  We speak to Samir Bennis, co-founder and editor-in-chief of Morocco World News

Millions of people around the globe have taken part in a mass “check-in” on Facebook — claiming to be at the Standing Rock reservation in North Dakota. The viral check in began in response to reports that the police were monitoring the Dakota Access Pipeline protesters via Facebook. As the protests gain international attention, we'll be looking at the legal matters faced by the Standing Rock Sioux tribe. We speak to Professor James Grijalva from the University of North Dakota Law School.
