ST. PETERSBURG (Sputnik) — China's Tus-Holdings and the Russia-China Investment Fund (RCIF) on Monday agreed to establish a joint Russia-China Venture Fund (RCVF) for development of trade, economic, investment and scientific-technological cooperation between Russia and China.
The RCIF is a private equity fund established in 2012 by the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and the China Investment Corporation (CIC) with $2 billion in capital.
The RCIF will focus on finding investment opportunities among high-tech firms and startups in Russia, including finance sector IT, big data, cloud technologies, biotechnology, biomedicine, clean sources of energy and data transfer.
