"The most important thing for Poland and the priority for President Duda is the implementation of the decisions adopted at the recent NATO summit in Warsaw, namely to deploy four NATO’s battalions in the Baltic states and Poland and the US armored brigade on the territory of our country, and to complete the construction of the missile defense system in Redzikovo," Marek Magierowski told Polskie Radio.
Magierowski stressed that these issues are of utmost important for Duda from the point of view of Poland's relations with the United States and NATO.
"He [Duda] will definitely follow the decisions of the new US administration, but from the prospective of how fast all these projects will be implemented," Magierowski noted.
Magierowski stressed that the victory of Donald Trump was at the same time a defeat not only of Hillary Clinton, but of Barack Obama as well, saying that "Trump’s victory is a red card for Barack Obama’s presidency".
The Republican candidate triumphed over his Democratic challenger, Hillary Clinton, in the November 8 presidential election. He gained 276 electoral votes, which is more than 270 needed to win.
