WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Warren warned Trump and the Republicans against deporting illegal immigrants, scrapping Obamacare or changing banking laws enacted following the 2008 financial crisis.
"We will fight them every step of the way," Warren said of Trump and the Republican Party in a speech that reflected partisan anger that has crippled Washington throughout much of the Obama administration.
On Trump and the Republican call to scrap the health care law known as Obamacare, Warren warned against kicking cancer survivors "to the curb."
She also warned against "ripping families apart" by deporting illegal immigrants or firing the "cops" in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), which polices big banks.
Warren, one of Trump’s harshest critics during the presidential campaign, has frequently exchanged insults with the president-elect.
As one of the most liberal members of the US Senate, Warren was briefly considered a possible vice presidential running mate for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
