The Mexican government confirms they are not paying for a wall “not part of our vision”, so who will pay for Donald Trump's wall? We also talk to Irvine Welsh about the US election result and what a Trump presidency could mean for the future of the US and the world as a whole.

Since the beginnings of Donald Trump’s campaign for the White House, he’s been promising one thing louder and more often than any other — that he’ll build a wall along the southern US border, and that Mexico will pay for it.  How is that going to play through, now that he’s president elect, and the Mexican Government is steadfastly refusing to even humor the idea?

Irvine Welsh the Edinburgh born and bred writer has drawn on his experiences growing up in the city to produce some of the most gritty and often brutal pieces of literature ever written documenting Edinburgh's sub culture.

Now living much of the year in Chicago he is well placed to offer a unique insight into what the election of Donald Trump as the next US President will mean for the rest of the world as our reporter Mark Hirst found out when he caught up with the author.

Oxfam are warning that the humanitarian crisis in and around the Northern Iraqi city of Mosul may significantly worsen as winter approaches and weather conditions deteriorate.  As our reporter Mark Hirst has been finding out, aid agencies and the UN are already struggling against time to put in place the support needed to deal with hundreds of thousands of anticipated refugees fleeing the violence. We speak to Oxfam’s Kai Tabacek.
