Trump also mentioned a possible investigation of Clinton multiple times during his campaign rallies.
Republican candidate Trump gained 289 electoral votes, in the November 8 presidential election, 19 more than 270 needed to win.
"It’s not something I’ve given a lot of thought, because I want to solve health care, jobs, border control, tax reform," Trump told The Wall Street Journal in an interview released on Friday.
After he won the elections, his campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said there was no word on whether he would appoint someone to investigate Clinton.
