In January, Donald Trump will take over the US presidency. While political analysts predict how his arrival will affect the country's policy, inside the White House everyone is wondering how the presidential menu is going to change!

Donald Trump has always stated that he does not restrict himself in food and eats whatever he wants.

“I love steak and hamburger and pasta and French fries, all of the things that we shouldn't be eating,” he said during the show With All Due Respect on Bloomberg Politics in 2015.

In a time of gourmet dining and healthy lifestyle, the new US president is quite a throwback to simpler times of carefree American eating habits when no one cared about organic carrots!

When asked what dishes he simply cannot resist, Trump said, “Yeah, bacon, eggs, steak. You hear a report that comes out, and it says you can’t eat it and then you can, so I eat what I like.”

Donald Trump seems to violate all the rules of nutritionists: He skips breakfast, eats his lunch hastily directly at his desk, he has cravings for fast food, and he likes to snack on Oreo biscuits.

He also does not demonstrate a particular love for broccoli and carrots, But he loves eggs, a well-done steak and bacon.

Currently in the United States it is rather popular to follow carbohydrate-free diets, that is rejection of bread, cereal and starchy food and of course, sugar.

However Trump is a far cry from those diets as he loves burgers too!

1.    Fast Food Junkie

In an interview with Anthony Cooper for CNN in February, Trump spoke about why he trusts fast food chains, “One bad hamburger, you can destroy McDonald’s. One bad hamburger and you take Wendy’s and all these other places and they’re out of business,” he said.

“I like cleanliness, and I think you’re better off going there than maybe some place that you have no idea where the food is coming from,” Trump added.

According to the website, Eater, at the end of July 2016, during the election campaign, Trump ordered food from the website 16 times. After earning enough votes to become the Republican candidate, he celebrated his success by ordering food from one of their fast food chains and uploading his photo on Instagram.

He has also admitted to enjoy Diet Coke with his burger. In fact in October 2012 he wrote on his Twitter: “I have never seen a thin person drinking Diet Coke.”

2.    Well-Done Steak

He might be a billionaire but Trump likes his steak cooked to a crisp!

“It would rock on the plate, it was so well done,” Anthony Senecal, Trump’s long-time butler, told The New York Times.

3.    Eggs with Bacon

He usually skips breakfast, but if he still has a morning meal, it must be well-fried eggs and bacon, medium rare.

4.    Vanilla Ice Cream With Cherries

The new president is also a huge fan of vanilla ice cream with cherries. He has admitted his love for ice cream more than once, for example in the application form for US Weekly.

5.    Tacos

Mexican tacos, which are tortillas made from corn flour, fried to a crisp and filled with meat and vegetables, are a popular dish in the United States.

During the Mexican holiday Cinco de Mayo, Trump uploaded a photo of himself eating taco with a caption: “Happy #CincoDeMayo! The best taco bowls are made in Trump Tower Grill. I love Hispanics!”

His son, Donald Trump Jr., tried to make his case in an interview with the Washington Post in January: “I always say that we’re blue-collar Americans who’ve been very blessed by success. My dad isn’t the type who puts on a tuxedo and eats caviar. He’s a burgers-and-pizza kind of guy.”

“There’s nothing more American and more of-the-people than fast food,” said Russ Schriefer, a Republican strategist and ad maker.
