MADRID (Sputnik) — On Sunday, Trump said in an interview with CBS' "60 Minutes" show that he would deport up to three million undocumented migrants with criminal records from the United States.
"We will wait and see. But it is a bad signal," Dastis was quoted as saying by the Europe Press news agency.
Dastis noted that Europeans were concerned whether some points of Trump's elections campaign would come true after he would take up the post of the US president, however, judging by his statements after the victory, Trump was able to understand and cooperate with the international community.
Meanwhile, Dastis expressed hope that relations between the European Union and the United States would develop positively after the president-elect would assume office, since friendly transatlantic relationship were very important for security and prosperity of the people on both sides.
