"Near Mosul, eight strikes engaged three ISIL [Islamic State] tactical units; destroyed three VBIEDs, three mortar systems, two vehicles, two ISIL-held buildings, a weapons cache, an anti-aircraft artillery system, a front-end loader, a VBIED facility, and a command and control node; damaged a supply route and two tunnels; and suppressed a tank," the release stated on Wednesday.
Additionally, the coalition conducted four strikes near the cities of Al Huwayjah, Haditha and Rawah and destroyed a Daesh anti-aircraft artillery system, three bunkers and an armored personnel carrier.
Four additional strikes near Ayn Isa engaged three Daesh tactical units and damaged two fighting positions, a vehicle and a supply route, Central Command said.
US-led coalition forces are waging two operations to oust the Daesh from its stronghold in Mosul and its de facto capital in Raqqa.
