"WHO condemns the attacks on five hospitals that took place in Syria on 13-15 November 2016, including three hospitals in Western Rural Aleppo and two hospitals in Idlib," the statement said.
At least two people were reported killed and 19 people, including six medical staff members, were injured in the attacks.
The WHO added that attacks on Syrian health care facilities are increasing in both frequency and scale. Its statement said a pattern has emerged of facilities being deliberately targeted, in violation of international law.
On Tuesday, US Department of State spokeswoman Elizabeth Trudeau claimed that renewed Russian airstrikes had hit five hospitals and one mobile clinic.
In Moscow, the Defense Ministry denied allegations that Russian combat jets had bombed hospitals in Aleppo, explaining that the Russian and Syrian air forces had not attacked any targets over the past 28 days.
