LIMA (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Barack Obama could meet briefly in the Peruvian capital of Lima at a business dinner on Saturday or during Sunday activities of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Saturday.
"Anyway, they will be in contact during the summit. Today they will be able to briefly meet only at the dinner in the evening — it will be the first joint event [of the summit]. Because, as we know, Obama will not attend the APEC Business Advisory Council. And also [they will be able to meet during] the whole day tomorrow," Peskov told reporters.
The spokesman added that there was no preliminary agreement about the meeting between the two presidents.
