MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian center for Syrian reconciliation at the Hmeymim airbase registered a total of 41 violations of the ceasefire regime in Syria in the last 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry said Saturday.
“Within last 24 hours, 41 shellings performed by illegal armed formations have been registered in the provinces of Aleppo (21), Damascus (15), Hama (1), Latakia (3), and Quneitra (1)," the ministry said in a daily bulletin posted on its website.
Syria's civil war between government forces and a wide range of insurgents, including opposition groups and terrorists, such as Daesh and Jabhat Fatah al Sham, both outlawed in Russia, has raged for some five years and has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives.
