Indian Army Vows 'Befitting Response' to Alleged Mutilation of Soldier's Body
Tensions on the India-Pakistan border in Kashmir have again escalated after the Indian army vowed a befitting response to the mutilation of the body of its soldier killed in an exchange of fire.
New Delhi (Sputnik) — In a heavy cross firing at Line of Control (de-facto border) between India and Pakistan, three Indian soldiers were killed.
"Three soldiers killed in action on LC (Line of Control) in Machhal. The body of one soldier mutilated," the Indian Army said.

This is the second such incident of mutilation of the body of an Indian soldier on the LoC since October 29.
Sources suspect it to be the handiwork of Pakistan’s Border Action Force.
The Vice Chief of the Indian Army Lt Gen Bipin Rawat briefed Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar about the deaths and was given the go-ahead for a strong retaliation.
A day earlier Pakistan felt aggrieved over the deaths of 4 civilians at the LoC. At the same time, it claimed to have killed six Indian soldiers in retaliatory firing.
