"Swiss business sees Russia as a very promising country despite the current political discussion… There are many economy sectors in Russia that are still being developed, and it is an interesting market with a long-term potential," Helg said.
Helg explained that Swiss companies were "focusing on the same spheres that interest Russia, the ones, where Russian companies are not fully represented, for example, eco-friendly technologies, pharmaceuticals."
Investors are looking for different ways to work with Russian regional businesses, the ambassador noted.
Helg added that the two countries were actively collaborating in the sphere of railway transportation, recalling the recent meeting of Swiss State Secretary Marie-Gabrielle Ineichen-Fleisch and top executives of Russian Railways company.
