WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States announced earlier that the Treasury Department issued a license to Airbus to sell planes to Iran as obligated by the 2015 nuclear agreement between Tehran and the P5+1 group of countries, consisting of the United States, Russia, France, China and the United Kingdom plus Germany.
"This decision, the one we are talking about today, had nothing to do and the timing was not at all related to our own presidential election," Kirby told reporters.
