MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The planes, developed and built by the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), will be supplied to Turkey in three batches over three years, The Express Tribune newspaper reported Thursday.
“This is the most significant agreement with Turkey in the field of defense,” Pakistani Defense Production Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain was quoted as saying at the ongoing International Defense Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) in Karachi, Pakistan.
IDEAS 2016 is taking place on November 22-25. The biannual event brings together global defense industry players to showcase the latest technological developments. In 2014, over 50 countries sent their representatives to Karachi, with over 300 companies setting up exhibits.
Super Mushshak planes are an upgraded variant of the MFI-17 Mushshak basic training and light attack aircraft. The plane has been sold to Iran, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iraq and Syria.
