"During the night, the government troops continued offensive operations in the occupied areas of eastern Aleppo. In the past 24 hours, 14 districts in eastern Aleppo were completely liberated from the terrorists (about 300,000 residential buildings)," the Russian reconciliation center for Syria said in a statement.
More than 8.500 civilians managed to leave the areas controlled by the rebels, including some 4,000 children. According to the statement, all those who managed to leave were provided hot meals, temporary shelter, and medical assistance if needed.
The Russian ministry said that over 140 militants had stopped the resistance and left the city via special corridors organized for them. The city officials provide them with the necessary support and assistance.
