ANKARA (Sputnik) – The rescue operation was shown live on NTV – the ship was only about 50 feet from the shore so ropes were used to get the crew off the ship. According to the Russian television channel, nobody was hurt.
Late on Friday, a spokesperson for the Russian consulate general in Istanbul said that there were no threats to the crew, although weather conditions had become worse.
