WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — A pair of political action committees (PACs) that raised money for US President-elect Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential race filed a federal lawsuit to stop the election recount in the US state of Wisconsin, media reported on Friday.
Both the Great America PAC and the Stop Hillary PAC claim the recount violates the due process rights of Trump voters in Wisconsin, The Hill reported.
Lawyers representing Trump himself have filed lawsuits against the other two vote recount attempts by Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein, which are in Pennsylvania and Michigan.
The Attorney General of Michigan has also filed a motion to block his state's recount.
