WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Senior Obama administration officials have spoken with their counterparts in China to reassure them the US commitment to the one China policy after US President-elect Donald Trump spoke over the telephone with the president of Taiwan, White House spokesperson Josh Earnest said at a press briefing on Monday.
"US officials, including senior officials at the National Security Council, have been in touch with their Chinese counterparts to reiterate our country’s continued commitment to a one China policy," Earnest stated.
