French Economy Tanks: Mr. Normal Throws in the Towel
09:11 GMT 06.12.2016 (Updated: 09:12 GMT 06.12.2016) On today’s episode of Double Down, hosts Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert are joined by author and radio show host, Pierre Jovanovic, to discuss the sad economic and political legacy of Francois Hollande.
Francois Hollande becomes the first president of the Fifth Republic in France to NOT seek re-election. Pierre Jovanovic tells Double Down how the dire state of the French economy is mostly to blame and how the mainstream French media played its role. The media had insisted that all was hunky dory, but the anger of the French people ultimately contradicted their rosy claims. But will this anger lead to the rise of the far right candidate Marine Le Pen in the 2017 elections? Or will the people choose the candidate against sanctions on Russia, Francois Fillon? Either way, the Fifth Republic faces an anything but normal future.
