WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Defense manufacturer Raytheon has received a nearly $40 million Defense Logistics Agency contract for maintenance on Sikorsky H-60 military helicopters operated by the US Navy and Saudi Arabia, the Department of Defense announced.
“Raytheon Company, Space and Airborne Systems [of] McKinney, Texas, has been awarded a $39.6 million delivery order…for support of the H-60 aircraft,” Tuesday’s announcement stated. “Using customers are the Navy and Saudi Arabia.”
Saudi Arabia’s army has operated Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters for more than a quarter-century, including in the 1991 Gulf War.
