A total of 105 neighborhoods of Aleppo completely liberated from terrorists as a result of conducted operation, the Russian General Staff stated Thursday.

"The Syrian government forces and militia units have completed the liberation of Aleppo from terrorists. As a result of the offensive the terrorists were driven out from all quarters that were under their control. At least 900 fighters were eliminated by the Syria army during the operation, dozens of the heavy weapons and military equipment was destroyed," the Russian General Staff said in a statement.

The general stressed that the Russian combat planes have not carried out missions around Aleppo since October 18.

Over 3,000 militants have voluntarily left the Syrian city of Aleppo, about half of them have been pardoned, Lt. Gen. Viktor Poznikhir, the first deputy chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the Russian General Staff, said Thursday.

"A total of 3,033 militants have voluntarily left Aleppo, 1,524 of them have been pardoned and let go, checks are ongoing in regard to others," Poznikhir told reporters.

He said more than 1,000 people were transported through the humanitarian corridor from the neighborhood of Salah al-Din in Aleppo in the direction of ​​Al-Rashidin.

Poznikhir also said that over 108,000 civilians, including more than 47,000 children, had been taken to safe areas of Aleppo via humanitarian corridors.

"Overall, 108,076 civilians, including 47,183 children, were taken via the organized humanitarian corridors to safe city areas," he said.
