ROSTOV-ON-DON (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) had prevented a series of terrorist attacks in Moscow, which were being prepared by an emissary of the Daesh terrorist group in Turkey.
"Acts of terrorism aimed at objects with mass stay of people, objects of life-support and military infrastructure were recently prevented in Rostov region and the Crimean Republic. People who prepared them have been detained and neutralized. Criminal cases have been opened against the suspects," Ustinov said as quoted by the press service.
He added that the overall situation in the Southern Federal District is stable, but it was necessary to pay attention to safety during the preparation and carrying out of the Confederations Cup 2017 and World Championship 2018.
