CAIRO (Sputnik) — Traces of explosives were discovered on the bodies of victims of the EgyptAir A320 crash, which occurred last May over the Mediterranean Sea, according to a statement released by the commission investigating the crash.
"The central office for the investigation of accidents received reports from Egyptian forensic experts concerning the remains of victims of the crash, which contained a notification that traces of explosives were discovered on some of the remains of the crash victims," the statement said.
It said the investigation of the crash that killed 66 people was handed to the Egyptian Prosecutor General's Office in connection with a suspected criminal trace.
