WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Mansour Moghtaderi Zadeh, 56, was sentenced to 18 months in prison and one year of supervised release for taking part in a conspiracy involving the purchase and shipment of aviation parts and aviation supplies, from the US to Iran without a license.

Zadeh admitted to procuring and exporting fiber optic video products, metal sheets and numerous other materials to Iran that could be used for aviation manufacturing or for military purposes, according to the Justice Department.

Zadeh was indicted by a federal grand jury in 2010 on charges of exporting goods to Iran without a license from the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control. At the time, Iran was subject to US and international economic sanctions.
