"The Chair directs the Secretary to record that, in the open meeting of this electoral college of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania…that the vote for President of the United States was 20 votes for Donald J. Trump and vote for Vice President of the United States was 20 votes for Michael R. Pence," Gleason stated.
The vote was briefly interrupted by protesters shouting "shame," but continued without further incident.
All 538 US Electoral College members are meeting on Monday in their respective capitals to cast their ballots for the nation’s next president.
Earlier votes in Illinois and Indiana went as expected despite calls from some electors to choose an alternative Republican to Trump.
Trump is expected to retain all 308 Electoral College votes he won in the November 8 presidential election, beating Clinton’s 232 votes and winning the 270 votes necessary to secure the presidency.
