"Today we speak of the ceasefire and we say that the ceasefire should be extended to the whole of Syria, but we do not think that this regime will be applied to terrorist groups such as Nusra Front and Daesh," Cavusoglu said.
The Turkish minister called for stopping support to other movements in Syria, such as Hezbollah.
"For example, Hezbollah is among such movements. And it is necessary to stop supporting them," Cavusoglu added.
Syrian government forces have been fighting in a long-time civil war against multiple opposition and terrorist groups, including Daesh and Jabhat Fatah al Sham, formerly known as Nusra Front, which are prohibited in many countries, including Russia. Over recent months, the northern Syrian city of Aleppo has become a major battleground.
On December 16, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Aleppo was under full government control with the Syrian army operation to retake the eastern districts completed. Civilians and militants were leaving the city amid a ceasefire agreement between the remaining pockets of resistance and government forces.
